A message from Fr. Mike
Every year at this time, we the parishioners at St. Charles, join with Catholics throughout the Archdiocese, in making a financial pledge to support the offices and major programs of the Archdiocese.
Funds go to support the formation and education of our future priests, deacons and lay ministers.
We at St. Charles benefit every time we have a seminarian at the parish. In turn of course, we have the privilege of assisting them to become the best priest possible. We benefit from the Office of Catholic Schools. We have already benefited from the guidance of the Office for Property and Construction. The Office of Parish Financial Services will assist us in taking out a million dollar loan to complete our school addition this year. In these and many other ways we as well as every other parish benefits from the Annual Catholic Appeal.
Because of your generosity we have been able to complete a number of parish projects. The purchase of our Organ. While it took several years we were able to replace the windows in the Church Dome. Last year we began to repair our Church back sidewalk and add a handicapped ramp to the front of our Church.
This year, with our expected rebate, we will add the Convent Handicapped ramp to make it easier for adorers to enter the Convent Chapel. It was more expensive than we first thought so we had to delay its installation until this summer. We will be able to realize some savings because construction folks will already be on site. Funding for the School and the Convent ramp are totally separate. There is no mixture of funds.
I thank you for your continued generosity in making all of this possible and pray that we may all become ever more grateful for the many ways God has blessed our parish and our Church. As we grow ever more grateful for the marvelous works which God does we know we are indeed God’s beloved daughters and sons.
